For the Australian travellers this was a most welcome stop. Our hosts were marvellous, they not only took excellent care of their guests, they provided interesting and compelling information about Lithuania, its people, challenges and successes. Our stay was extraordinary and very interesting. Your hospitality out – standing and gave us a fantastic feel of life in this most fabulous and unique life and culture.

Ellen, Irene and Karlfrom Queensland, Australia, October 2008

Dear Jurgis and Danute,

Thank you so much for your hospitality. You provided such a pleasant homely environment and  especially enjoyed your fantastic cooking, Dana.  The famous breakfast pancakes did not disappoint. I left Lithuania with an even greater impression of its beauty after a day trip to Trakai, Druskininkai, Birštonas and also Grutas Park. Next time come back to enjoy some of the outdoor activities you offer!

Marie Cleland, New Zealander, via London, October 2008

Danute and Jurgis,

Your generosity of spirit and kindness of heart has made our trip to Lithuania most memorable. To be able to take my mother back to Lithuania and her roots was a life long dream of both mine and hers. To see the rolling hills, flat farmlands full of warm wheat, dense pine forests and shinning Baltic was to reconnect with a distant past that we wait to keep alive in our hearts .

Mary Kate Shea and Martha Donovan, Mariland, USA, September 2008

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and you have all made us feel very welcome in your lovely home. Our highlight was our kayaking trip with Linas along the beautiful Ula river. The breakfast have been very good and we have liked having home grown produce.

Ros, Neil and EmilySomerville, Reading, England, August 2008

What a delight - both the place and the bright, articulate hosts! It was a welcomed relief to find such a comfortable, roomy and clean accommodation. The breakfasts were the best of our stay in the Baltics - fresh with lots of variety (even the healthy wheatgrass).
Donald Froeze, Salt Lake City, Utah, May 2008

Jurga. You spoiled us with your delicious meals (O’ those pancakes!!!)

We shall return again but look forward to welcoming you in our home.

All our best wishes for your future from Hanne-Lore and Howard UK, September 2005

Really enjoyed Grutas park and all the sculpture. Kayaking with Linas and Jurga was great. Loved the holiday. David (13)

Dog barney lovely but lively and managed to knock Joe off his bike!!! Really enjoyed the kayaking and house museum. Cycling good as well. I really liked the apple pancakes and banana pancakes. Louisa (11)

It was hot, but to, hot and I liked my breakfast. It was really nice and loads of toast. The chupa – chups from up the road were yummy! Joe

It was lovely not o have a car, but to pop in to town on the 56 bus and learn how to pay on a trolley bus. Cycling in the forest in the north west of here was wonderful – smelled of pine, deserted, pretty tracks. Had
to navigate by the sun though. Trips to Grutas and Merkys river were highly educational and spectacular. Both hugely enjoyable and such a luxury to have someone else do the organizing and driving. What a holiday having someone do your washing for you too. Not a drop of rain. Bright sun and hot all week. How will we cope when we come to Buxton? Thank you Linas and Jurga. Very best wishes for the future.
Rosalind

Thanks for the great holiday everything is so cheap here it. You could start a black market regime and become a millionaire. Breakfasts, weather and cycling were pretty good as well.B
